INTRODUCTION

My teen years should be a very special time for me; a time to study and learn; to think about what would I like to do in the future; to develop friendship; and to grow into the kind of person I want to be as an adult. This time has been set-aside for me by nature to be the prime time of my identity information. This is an exciting time for me to discover the opposite sex, but without having to deal with the complications of being involved in sexual activity. Getting into the sexual scene can short-circuit the growth that need to become a mature adult.

I hear a lot today about the dangers of extramarital sexual activity. Having an unwanted pregnancy, getting sexually transmitted diseases and promiscuity which often leads to contraception and abortion are just some of these dangers. Medical journals have explained time and time again that many sexually transmitted diseases are incurable. And I learned that teen pregnancy could ruin your plans for the future.

I chose this topic because I know it is one of the growing problems in today’s society. One major effect of this is that the child may be raised by a single parent. While most girls are looking for love and acceptance in sex, many guys are looking for the mere pleasure and are not planning on becoming a teen father. The pressures of high school and hanging out with friends may be overwhelming for some teens, so they just leave.
There are so many things we already have to instill within ourselves to gain maturity in such short time so how can we do that and also take responsibility for another child.
Teenage sex is so wide do to the lack or ignorance of such vital sex education and birth control.

Having a child at a early age doesn’t mean you can’t fulfill that child’s needs but it does mean that you will have to give full not half but full attention, love, responsibility, as well as stability for that child.
