A child labor is full-time work for children under age fifteen that could harm their knowledge, health, minds and education. The aims of this essay are, term of child labor, causes of child labor, and how to reduce child labor?
Child labor is a work that hurts children or prevents them from attending school. Also, child labor is work that exploits children physically, mentally, morally, or by blocking access to education. "Child labor involves a nation’s minimum age laws, Threatens children’s physical, mental, or emotional well-being, Involves intolerable abuse, such as child slavery, child trafficking, debt bondage, forced labor, or illicit activities, prevents children from going to school, and uses children to undermine labor standards" (Child Labor Public Education Project).
There is no single cause of child labor but the most common case are poverty, parents uneducated, social lack of interest, ignorance, lack of education and exposure, exploitation of cheap and unorganized labor. Children will search for money if they born with poor family. They should work to help their family to having food and to keep their home. Poor countries do not give children compulsory free education. Sometimes children came from non-conscious society and they take it as traditional thing. 'Some children have to work almost full-time just in order to earn enough money to attend school"(The Clean Clothes Campaign).
To help and reduce child labor according to (Free the Children) we should learn about this issue. Support organizations that are raising knowledge, and providing direct help to these children. Make a child labor club and activities on the topic of child labor. Volunteer a time with organizations working to protect children. Write to companies that use child labor and demand that they stop.
