The following documentation contains an analysis of the current website from both a customer’s perspective as well as an IT professional point of view. Recommendations made in this document are believed to enhance the customer’s online experience and potentially increase website traffic which will encourage people to use one of Kudler Fine Foods’ brick-and-mortar stores. The analysis and the proposed changes recommended will allow Kudler Fine Foods to make the best decision possible for Kudler Fine Foods and the customers using the website.
Analysis
Kudler Fine Foods, from the perspective of the customer, is a user friendly Web site that can be easily viewed without significant effort or difficulty from the customer. The home page is organized and very basic, not flashy. Each major department located in Kudler Fine Foods is easily accessed from the home page and each off shoot from the home page provides a well written description that informs the customer. For convenience of the customers, store hours as well as store locations are provide on the home page by hypertext links to other Web pages. Each of the hypertext links located on the home page opens another web page which is ideal for the customer’s ease of use.
Currently Kudler Fine Foods’ Web site is easy to maintain because the Web site is primarily used for information only and the information that is listed on the Web site is such that will not change on a daily basis or a monthly basis.
