Introduction
The Gaming industry has grown from a small industry in the 1980s when there were only a few players to a massive industry worth US$20 billion with fewer players. In the beginning the industry was dominated by such companies as Sage, Nintendo and of late Sony but as the industry grew Microsoft one of the most popular and dominant company in the software and personal computing industry decided it was time to enter this lucrative industry. Comparing the companies that are competing in this industry currently (Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo) one can realize that they all have their respective strengths e.g. Nintendo has been in the industry longer and its games which feature the popular Mario character were very popular in the 90s and it holds a sizable market share and Sony is a hugely popular company when it comes to electronic gadgets such TVs, Radios, Music, Cameras and it has invested more in the gaming market in comparison to its rivals.
