Reform is a campaign shattering yokes and iron chains which sustain the inequity of human beings, saying no to the contemporary order and institutions of our society. These injustice and inequity are so ulterior that most people are apt to ignore and even enjoy themselves in it to gain fortune, kudos and privilege. Some people are so intoxicated in their success that they never mean to change the current system, the others are so suffering from the arduous fighting for basic life that they never to think whether the society is proper or need some reform. So those who are really in earnest about reforming are not those who are privileged and enjoying the status the society has honored them, not those who are live a poor life and fear of the bumpiness of life road, but those who abandon the leisure of life and social status, recognize the inadequateness of the states of whole world, prepare to bear the misunderstanding, distrust and curse from other people who are against or unaware of the reform.
Under such circumstance, a real reformer is a person who are extraordinary and fringe from mainstream so they are apt to be thought to be a heretic. Perhaps they can share the good life with the majority, accept its social value and enjoy its ordered happiness, however, what they pursuit are not merely these but the gross welfare of humanity, which desire a fighting for the truth believed in heart. Hence, they are willing to jagged rocks and treacherous shoals if they could have some changes in the society-changes for the progress of human to eternity. When retrospecting the long river of human history, we can find all the real reformers are those who are willing to endure disdain by the rest of the world. In warrior period of china, a reformer named Shang Yang initiated a reform to change the aristocratic politics to establish a central power in principality of Qin.
