First of all dehydration can be very devastating to your body as your body is made up of 60% water in adults, the signs of dehydration are feeling nauseous, light headed other symptoms may include thirst, headache, fatigue, loss of appetite, dry eyes and mouth, and dark colored urine. Or dizzy while outside on a hot day while exercising of working. It is depletion of body water other things can cause you to get dehydrated as well if your sick and throwing up a lot or not taking in fluids or even having severe diarrhea can cause you to get dehydrated as well. The depletion of body water will cause symptoms more rapidly then any other nutrient. Getting dehydrated can cause severe problems it can cause your body to shut down and other organs not to work properly it can even cause death in severe cases. What happens to the body when it does not get the water it needs is called dehydration which can be life threading even small changes in the amount of water in the body can be life threatening you can only last a few days without water, what happens when there is not enough water then blood volume is reduced and the ability to deliver oxygen and nutrients to cells and remove waste product sis affected like your kidneys shutting down and able to reform as need to rid waste from the body
Over half of and adults body weight is water higher in smaller children and infants that is why when they have a fever or become sick it is so important to get fluids such as pedilyte to help replenish there fluids and make sure they do not get dehydrated children and infants are also more susceptible to the heat outside it is so important to keep a watchful eye on them.
