Ephesians 2:1-3 “and you he made alive, when you were dead in the trespasses and sins, in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience. Among these we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, following the desires of body and mind, and we were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.” Man is in need of a Savior. We are wholly incapable of anything without the help of God’s hand.
Also in scripture we are able to read a verse in which it tells us that, "You shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins."—Matthew 1:21
Jesus was sent to earth on a mission to save us sinners. We were all born in sin; nothing we did or do is inherently good, because the root of our heart is evil. God is the only perfect being and by him sending his Son to die, it is the only way we can be forgiven of what we have done and promised eternal life.
We as human beings go astray all the time. And unless we attempt to remember our sins all the time we just go around considering ourselves as “small sinning Christians”. I think most of us feel like we do not do that badly. Or we are better than our friends or those we know. If we think that we only sin a little bit, then we really only need someone to save us a little bit. Or those that might think they do nothing bad at all think they could probably save themselves. But there is no such thing as a small sinner, we are all sinners. A sin is a sin, no matter what it is, we are going against God. No one is better than another. Maybe others might commit “worse crimes” according to our society, but in God’s eyes we are all still a sinful people.
Jesus said, "The time is coming when everything will be revealed…what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from housetops for all to hear." That is a frightening thing, because some people think...
