Introduction
Science is an area of knowledge that is very important in human life. As its definition, the nature of science is really important in understanding things happened around us. But, what is the real characteristic of science? There are many science philosophers whose describing their perception toward the characteristic of science. One of them is Jules Henri Poincare who’s coming out with his famous quotation:
"Science is built of facts the way that a house is built of bricks: but an accumulation of facts is no more science than a pile of bricks is a house"

So, how far is the statement describes the characteristic of science and is it true? This is the main point of this essay and at the same time, the relation of other areas of knowledge with the Poincare’s ideology will be revealed.
Quotation Understanding
Before we dig the quotation, the basic definition of science must be conquered. Science is divided into two parts and represents two different areas of knowledge. The two part of science is natural science and social science. The basic definition of natural science is the study of the physical world and its phenomena while social science is the branch of science that studies society and the relationships of individual within a society.
Henri Poincare in the quotation emphasises the relationship between science and facts. From my point of understanding, the main point that he tried to tell is - All sciences are facts but not all facts are science.

What causes the relationship of facts and sciences? Henri Poincare clearly philosophised that science is an organized facts as he mentioned science as a house that built of bricks. He also refused facts as science since no accumulation of bricks called a house.
