Jurassic Park

Do you believe in dinosaurs? I surely do. There certainly have

been a lot of discoveries of dinosaur fossils in this past century. There

have also been a lot of movies based on dinosaurs and what I really

remember most all is Jurassic Park. Jurassic Park is a movie

directed by Steven Spielberg in 1993---wow, I was just born (I think)-

--and it was very popular. This movie is a perfect example to tell

what’s biologically correct or incorrect about it. Well, you know how it

is. Every movie starts with a story.


This story is based on the same name of Michael Crichton---the

novel writer---in the movie. This Jurassic Park film is based on a

fictional island where scientists have created an amusement park of

“cloned dinosaurs”. A character named John Hammond invites a group

of scientists to inspect the park prior to it public opening. A sabotage

of a kind sets the dinosaurs loose and the technicians and also visitors

try to escape the island, unfortunately, in an attempt to escape most

die violently, theres a bunch of blood too.

The technical aspect of this movie is that this movie deals with

special affects known as “go motion” to animate the dinosaurs used in

this movie a little bit. Filmmakers also used fully detailed models of

dinosaurs before molding latex skins, which were fitted over complex

Robotics. The kinds of dinosaurs they used in this film were the

Tyrannosaurus rex (famously know as “T-rex”), Velociraptor,

Dilophosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Triceratops, Gallimimus, and the

Parasaurolophus.

What is biologically correct about this movie is that just recently
