Final Project World Religions Report
I choose the Mulish religion because it is the only religion in my city I am familiar with. Friends and coworkers are Muslim and have share their thoughts and beliefs with me. Their thoughts and beliefs help me to complete this project. I will be talking about the location of the place I visited, a place of worship to many of my Muslim brothers and sisters. My interview was awkward because this is a topic I wish not to discuss. I listen and my questions were answered. I could not help feel as if the conversation were to convert me away from my current religion, as if there was some quota to fill. This is just how I was feeling at first but I began to feel very welcome. Contrasting my own religion, and the Muslim is so similar. My conclusion is the same as it was in the beginning; God loves us all as long as we practice his word, no matter how it is thought.
Name, location review of the site
The name and location of the place I visited where some of my Muslim friends worship is the Islamic Center in my city. It is hard to believe a group is here as early as five a.m. but there is. No one wants to pray alone, so many come to the center instead, although these prayers can be done at home as well. The other prayers include Sunrise at seven a.m., Dhuhr at 12:42pm, Asr 3:42pm, Maghrib at 5:48pm, and Isha at 6:59pm. Other info about this center can be found on their website at www.iaenc.com. The center is just like the YMCA community center only it is for Muslims. I saw a type of pride the parents see in their childrenI have not seen before, the strictness was something I could not have handled as a child.
