Stress and Motivation
It’s hard to define stress, because every day we hear the word “stress” from our friends, our families or from ourselves but when it’s come to defining the word, you don’t have anything to say. When people are in stress, you can see them hurrying up, eating fast or do not eating anything. Also they are furious and impatient that they can attack people easily. In my last reflection paper, I will define stress with my own words but mostly emotion based words because as I mentioned before it is hard for me to define it as terms. Then I will define motivation that is related to stress.
In work life or in daily life, people can stressed about the jobs or events that they are doing. As I am a student, I can get stressed with midterms, finals and projects that I am doing because I should have to get good grades to graduate from my university. However for another student midterms and finals won’t be stressful because maybe he or she doesn’t care much about graduating. In my opinion stress can change from every people. But we all have the same reactions when we get stressed. Weekends pass quickly; we cannot spend much time with our families and friends. For example; if I have an important project deadline, I can’t find time to go outside because I feel stressed and do my project before the deadline as quicker as I can. Moreover this situation won’t change in work life. I can see my father gets stressed when he has a presentation or important stuffs to do.
Stress is a bad thing however it’s not at all. Stress can make people motivated and make them to work well. If I don’t get stressed about my project deadline, I won’t get enough motivation and spend my time to work on it. So that can make me not to submit on time. Motivation comes from our individual needs. If our needs are met, we will be more motivated. If we motivated well, our work force will start to increase.
