Determining Your Perfect Position Paper
As a valued, veteran employee of Presbyterian Hospital, the position that would be most beneficial for me once the hospital completes the expansions and restructuring would be working as the Hospitality Welcoming Committee Manager, according to my assessments taken during this Leadership Organizational class. In this new role, I would be responsible for, but not limited to, providing the best possible hospitality and care for the patients that I would be servicing as the incoming of patient flow is what generates revenue to the hospital. I would manage a team to assist with the day-to-day operations of the hospitality welcoming committee.
Currently, the health care industry is an open field because it is changing more rapidly than almost any other field in the world. The field is constantly changing in terms of how and where care is delivered, who is providing those services, and how that care is financed. With the combination of information technology in the medical field and the doctors with a human touch, the health care industry is a around the clock production, while responding to the needs of millions of patients from newborn babies to the emergency critically ill. “Health care will generate 3 million new wage and salary jobs between 2006 and 2016, more than any other industry”. Therefore, the healthcare industry is looking to retain talented people like me, to manage the changes taking place within the restructuring of hospital personnel (Health Care, n.d.).
