It cannot be doubted that since her foundation, The United States of America has experienced an unprecedented increase in almost all aspects of herself, reaching a level only comparable to the Greek empire. Unfortunately, Journalistic integrity has scarcely improved from the times of Pulitzer and Hearst. The reprehensible statement reveals itself in “Modern Liberalism and American Decline”, the works of the propaganda machine that is Robert H. Bork. The predisposed piece aims to blame the collapse of popular culture, rise in crime, Illegitimacy and dependence on welfare on modern Liberalism.
The pessimism eluded by Bork could only be coordinated by the likes of Leith Anderson, the leader of the National Evangelicals Association as he reflected upon the state of popular culture. He begins by a contraction between Astaire’s 1930’s hit “The way you look tonight” with Snoop Doggy Dogg’s “Horny” and the Nine Inch Nail’s “Big man with a gun”. The meticulous selection of quotes rectifies his understanding that modern music is obscene in both thought and word. Bork grudgingly notes the deliberate rejection of any attempt to achieve artistic distinction, or even mediocrity. It is generally “little more than noise with a beat” (Bork 7). It therefore cannot be doubted that Modern media in general has turned into a channel for propaganda of every perversion. There is also no doubt in his mind that this “disaster” is solely caused by the idea that all individuals are born rational. He states that it is vital for legal and moral sanctions to be introduced in order to repair the Moral Backbone of this generation.
Bork’s desolate depiction however is only a prejudiced construct to persuade the general public. The...
