I have never tried Japanese food or knew how to use chopsticks. I was told by a friend Japanese cultural focuses on appearance and on the existence of four tastes. I knew from all my years on cooking we all eat with our eyes first. Who knew that Japanese food is eaten with chopsticks because of the small pieces they cut their food. Therefore its easy to use chopsticks to lift up their food and less of a mess on the table. Well on my first take on Japanese food was very imaginary. It's not just about just eating what you order its about taking a little trip to Japan and enjoying every bite of this cuisine.
I went to this perfect place for Japanese food called Nobu. This wasn't just a ordinary Japanese restaurant it had high expectation for the best tastefully food and style of food. When I called for a lunch reservation I had a wonderful lady helping myself with great manors. And found just the right day I was looking for Wednesday November 5, 2008 at one thirty pm.
The owners of this restaurant are Robert De Niro , Meir Teper, Nieporent and Richard Notar. Nobu. There is three locations in Manhattan New York. The location that I went too is 105 Hudson street New York , New York 10013. Nobu has been open since 1994 and has been a great success every since. The owner/Chef Nobu Matsuhisa is one of the world best chef and is known for his cooking and a great success in the culinary world. Chef Nobu has about twenty five other restaurant all over the world such as in Hong Kong, Australia and Miami Florida. One of their famous dishes in the Black Cod with Miso and Lobster Wasabi Pepper sauce. Nobu has been voted Top chef in Japanease Cuisine in 2004 New York City Zagat survey.
The chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa is well known in the Japanese world and his positive success with food. He has a great philosophy which I find a little weird. He quotes” that no matter how excellent your skills are if you do not use your Kokoro which means heart in...
