Article of Commitment for Team Shiremanstown
In the Year 2009

Article One:

Adherence to ALL guidelines and applicable instructions that have been instituted by Norfolk Southern Railroad.
Article Two:

Commitment to safety is “good business”.
Responsibility for safety and environmental stewardship cannot be transferred. Each member of this team is help personally accountable for his/her actions on the job. I.e. six tenants of safety
Article Three:

Communication is the key to successful performance of all assigned duties and tasks.
Participation and involvement of all team members is of the utmost importance, prior to beginning a task the team will communicate all aspects to include working conditions, requirements of each task to be performed in its entirety. To ensure total understanding all associated members will confirm the associated details. If for reason, the assigned task becomes confusing, details changes or if a rule violation is observed it is your duty to assist and stop all operations and perform a new job briefing in accordance with GR-38.

Thank you for your commitment and your service at Shiremanstown. In recognizing we have a tough year ahead of us and the aspirations and goals that have been set before us, we want to take the time to let you know without your dedication and adherence and commitment we would not be as successful and stable in an economy as we now see.
