Wikipedia defines a Senior Noncommissioned Officer as a Noncommissioned Officer serving in the pay grades of E-7, E-8, or E-9.   The Manual for Courts Martial defines disrespectful behavior as acts or language that detracts from the respect due to the authority and person.   Therefore, such behavior committed toward a described individual is punishable under Article 91 of the UCMJ, using the third definition.   Article 91 is insubordinate conduct toward a Warrant Officer, Noncommissioned Officer, or Petty Officer.   The third definition with text of statute is as follows: Any Warrant Officer or enlisted member who treats with contempt or is disrespectful in language or deportment toward a Warrant Officer, Noncommissioned Officer, or Petty Officer while that officer is in the execution of his office.  
The Army instills discipline in its Soldiers and trains them to respect all Soldiers of superior rank.   When I smoked in an area that was made an unauthorized smoking area by the Battery First Sergeant, I disrespected him by not obeying his lawful order.   What one Noncommissioned Officer may consider not to be disrespectful could be disrespectful to another.   Technically, anything could be construed as disrespect.   That is why the Army trains its Soldiers to be disciplined.   Discipline must be maintained at all times.   If this is achieved, then disrespect should not be an issue.   As a Noncommissioned Officer, I am well aware of what disrespect is and looks like.   It is completely unprofessional of me to disrespect another member of the Corps of Noncommissioned Officers.   We are supposed to be working together.   I must enforce the standards that are in place.   However, I am unable to enforce the standards if I cannot follow the standards.   Rules and regulations are not just set in place for junior Soldiers.   They are in place for everyone that serves under the individual who made them.
