When arguing online there are some guidelines to follow.   One of the first things that you should make sure you do is choose a style and word choice that is right for your readers.   Depending on your audience you should choose your words very wisely.   The next thing is your sentence structure and argument.   There needs to be structure in your sentences try to make sure that they are good examples of what you are trying to get across.   Choose a good argument.   You will not connect well with your audience if you choose an argument that is not interesting at all.  
Make sure your punctuation is top notch.   You want your reader to be able to follow exactly what you write.   You don’t want them to lose the path that you have set for them or the whole thing will become very confusing.   Make sure to use your commas and semi-colons to show your pause.
Make sure to use your figurative language where it fits.   Figurative language can really spice something up.   It can make your story come to life.   It is really effective in helping your reader really visualize what is going on.  
You can also use humor in your paper, but be careful on what kind of humor you are putting in.   You don’t want to offend anyone.   That really can put a damper on things with your audience.
This is the guidelines on how to argue your point.   Making your audience feel like they were the ones that wrote it, because they feel exactly how you feel is the goal in arguing.
