Being a Veterinarian is huge in the world, and often not given enough credit, for

without them, our animals all across the world would suffer, and so would the way of life.

Veterinary practice seems great with the vision of helping animals, petting the cats, and

giving dogs treats after a mouth clean, but it isn't that easy. Because we can't talk to and

understand life for animals like Dr. Dolittle, we need Veterinarians everyday, to enlarge

and help the animals in and around the world so we can better understand these awesome

creatures ("Dr. Dolittle", 2008).

Being a Veterinarian takes skill and expertise, for they take care of the health of

pets, livestock, and other animals. Others use skills to protect humans againist diseases

carried by animals, and also work in research. broadening our knowledge of animals and

medical science (Bureau of Labor Services, 2007). Working in the private practice of

Veterinarian work is the most common, for they must be a general physician/ surgeon/

diagnosticain/ pharmacist all in one, with knowledge of a variety of different species

(Talk to the Vets, 2005).

In order to achieve to be a veterinarian, one must graduate with a Doctor of

Veterinary Medicine Degree from a four-year program at an accredited college of

Veterinary Medicine, with which only twenty-eight meet the accreditation standards

(Bureau of Labor Services, 2007). After graduation, one must pass the national board

examination, and state exams to achieve their vet liscence, for which this is required
