Online shopping is much more complicated than going in person to shop; whether it is shopping for clothes, furniture, or food, the results are not always satisfying. There are a few benefits to shopping online such as convenience, price comparisons and detailed product information; although, those same benefits and others are guaranteed during in person shopping. For example, additional benefits include guaranteed results, fitting options, and a fun-filled experience. Shopping online can be convenient, yet going in person is more fun and offers more satisfying results.
Online shopping accomodates the consumer because it is done at their availability. Those with a busy schedule may not have to time to shop for groceries, clothing, or even materials. Some times, the schedules are so tight, that the hours of availability do not coincide with the open hours of a store. The convenience is great; however, the product takes days to arrive. The disadvantage is that consumers will have to order days in advance to receive their shipment on the date it is necessary. For example, I had to order my prom dress a month in advance because the expected delivery time was two weeks. I also had to make sure I had time to return the dress and request a new one if it did not fit or if there were any problems with it. Ordering in advance can be so complicated because nothing is guaranteed. There is the possibility of something being wrong with the order, and the process of returning it is very time consuming. It is convenient to shop in person as well because you will not have to bother calling customer service or waiting for the correct item to arrive. When you go shopping in person, you are able to try on the outfits in order to make sure they fit. You have a better idea of what the product looks and feels like. For example, when furniture shopping, the prospective customer is able to lie down on beds or sit on couches to get a feel for the product. It...
