One day last year my Auntie surprised me and took me to an A’S game. I was so excited because I love baseball. So she picked me up around 5pm Saturday afternoon and drove to Bayfair Bart. Taking Bart was my first experience going to a game it was fun and there was a lot of fans on the train. When we got to the ballpark we got in early to get some players autographs and take pictures of the players. It was about time for the game to start so we headed for our seats.
When we got our seats the ballgame began and it was so exciting the fans were cheering and the stadium was rumbling and I was having a blast. Eric Chavez was up to bat on the first pitch he hit a home run. Nick Swisher was up next and hit a fly ball which I caught I was so happy. The A’S scored 3 runs in the 1st inning. The A’S has a great defense and held the team to 1 point.
It was near the 4th inning and we went and got a hot dog, soda and the most important peanuts. The fans were screaming and yelling and rooting for the A’S. I was having such a fun time with my Auntie but she still was keeping a secret from me. It was getting dark and the field looked so much bigger when it was all lit up.
My favorite part of the game is the 7th inning stretch and the wave. The wave is when people get out of their seats and throw their hands in the air. It was getting late and the game was coming to an end with the A’S in the lead. So everybody was getting ready to leave so I thought when my Auntie said follow me and we went onto the field. She caught me by surprise and said you always wanted to go to a game with fireworks so here we are.
The fireworks were so awesome to see. I was happy that my aunt thought of me when she bought the tickets. The fireworks were finally over and we headed towards the Bart station. I thanked my Auntie on the way home and asked her if we can do this again.
