Narcissism describes the character trait of self-adoration. It is a characteristic that has been well researched by psychologists because it can be an overwhelming trait in ones life. The goal of my research is to explain the complications that narcissism can bring about in one’s life. In psychology narcissism is considered a serious personality dysfunction. In order to live a good moral life it is essential to be caring and concerned for others. My goal is to provide some background information on the causes, effects, and ways to treat this disorder.
Narcissism can become present at an early age and it can grow and elevate into a serious condition. I will explain to my best abilities the possible signs and ways the condition can be triggered. Another goal of mine is to explain psychologists theory’s on the stages of narcissism. There are many conflicting theories of the causes, effects, and importance in a person’s life. It is my goal to explain the differences.
I will explain the medical forms of treating narcissism as well as the natural ways of coping with the disorder. The treatment of the disorder is the topic of much discussion and argument of psychologists. There are psychological, ethical, and legal conflicts when the topic of narcissism is brought about.
There are different ways narcissism is present in our lives such as physical appearance, self-esteem, and romance. I will describe the effects the condition can hurt other people around those who have a narcissistic personality trait. Narcissism can become a serious problem in many peoples lives and it is a topic that demands much research to solve and treat.
Narcissism is a scary disorder in the fact that is present in many psychopaths, sociopaths, and some of the most well known murderers and criminals.
