In this world, every country has their own public holidays and it has caused people to have difference about the public holidays. Some of them say public holiday is nice, but some of them don’t agree. In my opinion, I believe public holiday is a great time for all the people. There has few points to support it.
Most students have to spend huge amount of time at school. Students feel it is rather boring if they can only play at school. However, if people have some public holidays then most of the people can go out with friends or families to try some new things outside school or the work place. Everyone will feel it is very exciting.
In fact, public holidays have significant meaning for the country and the people. On public holidays many remember some of the people who were really outstanding or did some important things for society. Everyone should respect them. Therefore, on public holidays we can commemorate their achievements.
Furthermore, people so tired and bored during a week that they want to have some time for relaxation or fun. A public holiday is the best choice because people can have a few days to relax and the most importantly they can spend time with friends and family. Public holiday enable people keep in touch neither. More holidays mean more contacts that people can easier to arrange social life or normal workdays and weekends.
In conclusion, public holidays are definitely not a waste of time. In fact public holidays provide time for students to spend time with friends outside school. Important events and people can be respectfully remembered and celebrated and tired students and workers can have time to relax. So I think public holidays are not a waste of time but valuable and special days that should be enjoyed.
