In the story The Bloody Chamber there are many luxuries that are described that the protagonist in this story inherits by marrying into wealth.   The way the story starts out is it seems like the protagonist was not very wealthy more like lower middle class. When she gets married to her husband she obtains all these new luxuries that she never had before.   Some of these include: Having servants at her beck and call,   Having her own piano room with an on staff piano tuner, her own bathroom with gold taps, tons of beautiful jewelry, and after her husband’s death she inherited all of his enormous wealth.  
In the story when she is newly married she was of and away to her husband’s castle where she has all these house servants.   This is a totally new concept for the wife because she always had to do things on her own, or her mother would help her. The protagonist was very young and having all these new servants waiting on her beck and call was a luxury she never had before.
Her previous profession was a pianist.   She loved music and now she had her own grand piano.   She also had her own on staff piano tuner whom would check and tune it ever mourning, and if the piano were to go out of tune he would be right there to fix and ensure that it is ready to go.   This was an enormous luxury to her because of her love for music she could now play as she wished.
She also describes to her mother how she has her own bathroom, which it seems she used to have to share one with her mother.   The bath tub had golden dolphins with chips of turquoise for eyes.   This luxury is one that is a little over the top with golden taps but it is a new and exciting moment for the new wife.
Within the castle the protagonist was exposed to a safe with all these beautiful diamonds, and jewelry.   She now had all the jewels she would ever need or want within her own home.   The protagonist’s jewelry is a luxury that only wealthy women could only ever have and before her marriage she could only dream...
