In this movie high cost low price which is all based on the giant retailer Wal-Mart which was found by Sam Walton from Arkansas. It is also the retailer that provide us more goods and service in lower price than any other retailers like target, best buy etc does. The philosophy of wal-mart is to provide good in cheap price and maintain their old marketing strategy. So it has been able to be successful to make their fame as giant retailer. We know that Wal Wart is the giant retailer and it is hard to for other retailers to compete with wal mart. There are many reasons behind Wal-Mart for being what they are today. The very first reason is they imports almost all of their good from foreign countries most from china where labor cost is way to lower than in United states. Also they do not have to pay the benefits to the worker in foreign country. But this means the Dollar is going out of country and has increase trade deficit and can harm the economy. We also saw the people in china working in the factories which was I would say brutal. But it is also true that if the goods are made here in the United States it will obviously cost a lot money, which customer will bear. Wal-Mart also buys stuffs in gigantic amount which also helps in lowering price. Also in United States Wal-Mart has done a thing that has got them in trouble sometimes. They make their employee work off the clock, they hire fewer women and even if they did they are less likely to get promoted than men. They do not allow union; if they find out they fire them. They also do not higher elderly people because they are more likely to get diseases than the young people. After watching the movie it is hard to figure out weather the marketing strategy of Wal-Mart is good or bad. Lower price is good but for economy it is bad and had resulted in a big problem.
