AP Language and Composition

I brought an APK sticker that symbolizes the sport of Parkour. APK is an acronym for American Parkour. APK is a national-wide organization that hosts Parkour events for anyone who wishes to participate and also posts APK member videos on YouTube. I personally am a member of APK and it is a hobby of mine that I simply cannot live without. Parkour is a sport of which your goal is to travel from destination “A” to destination “B” in the fastest, most creative and fluid way imaginable. This sport has proven to make me grow mentally and taught me how to face my fears head-on, to think more creatively, and to develop as a more disciplined person.
Parkour has taught me not only to face my fears but also how to embrace them. It has fulfilled this effect upon me because as I progressively learned how to overcome my fear I grew both mentally and physically by performing outrageous stunts. Imagine climbing, and then standing on the top of a two story building. This was a personal test I designed for my mind; jumping from building to building the adrenaline pumps through my body as would a rushing current through a ferocious river. As my body fell towards the Earth from the inauspicious building I contemplate to myself as the time seems an eternity I suddenly land on the tips of my feet and involuntarily I jump into a forwards roll preventing me from any possible harm. At this time, I feel a cold rush run through my body as I realize that fear is merely a pre-conceived illusion and a trait that you must overcome.
The sport has taught me how to imagine and open a new form of creativity within myself.
