Gap Analysis: Global Communications
Introduction
Global Communications is a technology based company that has been struggling with the competition market to stay afloat. Global Communication has been faced with many different dilemmas in their efforts to improve their profit and reach a broader customer range. With the telecommunication industry fading, stockholders are moaning about the loss in their cost of shares. Global Communications stock traded at $28 per share and after three years plummeted to an astounding $11 a share. They are unsure if they industry will be able to bounce back and catch up to its previous state. The majority of companies in the telecommunication industry, including Global Communications, are under a great deal of pressure. The main reason for the profit loss for Global Communications is too much competition. While other cable companies started implementing packages that include computers, phones, and television services, Global Communications chose not to take this road. Global Communications have also thought about reaching out to the international markets but are unsure if it will bring positive results. Three main issues that Global Communications is dealing with are pressure of competition, outsourcing, and trouble with Union Employees.
