If there were only three books existing in the entire world, which ones should they be? Of what importance would they have on our society? If I had to choose, the three books of the world would be Brian’s Winter by Gary Paulsen, The Lord of the Flies by William Golding, and finally an English grammar book. I would have Brian’s Winter because it shows human ability to survive alone, The Lord of the Flies because it shows the natural evil within a person, and the English grammar book because it would help keep the same language throughout the world.

Brian’s Winter is a book about the wild. Brian is stranded and needs to survive for he is in the middle of the Canadian Forest. He lives in the woods for many weeks and acquires the needed ability to survive. I chose this book for the world because it has a lot of meaning. I can see, in the future, that many people will live in cities and open territory will not be as abundant because of our rapid population growth. This book could show them how the human body is able to withstand a rugged beating and still survive without any connections to other people.

The Lord of the Flies is a very deep and highly symbolic novel by William Golding. It is about a bunch of British school boys who get stranded on an island and must survive. However, they become crazy savages from their evil inborn trait. I would choose this book because it shows how much any given person can change. This book could help from people in the future becoming insane because they would realize how easily they themselves can change.

An English grammar book seems very unreasonable to keep for the future but it has its upper needs. For one thing, this grammar book would help keep a single language within the entire world. The book would also be very essential for our country’s economy. Because of this, it would be easier to communicate with other countries for trade and other purchases such as foreign fuels. It...
