College Essay
She walked in and stood at the door way of my room waiting for my acknowledgment. I looked at her and what she was about to say was already expressed on her face. My mother’s blood shot red eyes became a mirror to mines as both our eyes filled with tears. Now that my tears of grief over my grandmother’s death are gone now, I use her as a force to push me.
Growing up, getting my way was always necessary for me. With the help of my grandmother, that was always easy to do. When she died, I knew I would have to rely on myself more than before to get what I wanted out of life. She wouldn’t physically give me what I wanted but she had something special about her that would just make me work and try as hard as I could, which led me to success. Now that she is gone, that force was lost for quiet sometime. Questions of if life would ever be the same and if I would ever be successful again filled my mind at times of despair. She left me searching for a new force and trying to figure out life without her.
She may be gone, but I finally figure out how to make it through life with the same and even better success as before that one dreaded day. She still is the force before that pushed me, but now it’s even stronger because it’s a heavenly force. Now looking forward to college and a prosperous career, I know she is watching from above. Her love has kept me strive everything from good grades all the way to master pieces of art. I might not be a Picasso but with my grandmother push I might get as close to being the next Monet. Like my hope and dreams, her influential power sill lives.
Life doesn’t just end at the final heart beat, but it continues on in those that u have help and had an impact on in life. A grandmother’s love will always be something very close that would be hard for any person to lose. They will have to use that lost in a positive way in order to achieve greatness. So I will let my grandmothers heart beat...
