Anne Rice, an extremely cryptic and fascinating woman from the jazzy city of New Orleans, is one of America’s most popular, interesting, and successful authors.   She was born in New Orleans in 1941.   The environment that she lived in as a young child greatly influenced the setting, style, and characters of her future novels to come.   With the publication of her first novel, Anne Rice stepped into the limelight of American authors.   She contributed many more novels after her first and continues to capture readers, not only in America but also throughout the whole world.   Her appealing novel topics and her unique style of writing is what sets her above and beyond other American authors.
Anne Rice was a unique individual from the moment she was born into this world.   She was born October 4, 1941 and was given the name Howard Allen O’Brien.   She despised and detested the masculine name and wanted to set herself apart from it by the time she was in first grade.   At the age of only six she decided to change her name to Anne, which was more normal and feminine compared to her previous name.   With a new name she experienced a normal childhood like any other kid with the horrible exception of her mother’s early death. After her mother’s death the days turned to months and the months to years.   Finally, Anne moved on to live her own independent life in college.  
During her first couple years at school she met Stan Rice.   Anne soon fell madly in love with the poet and aspiring young artist.   They were soon married on a Saturday evening.   The wedding date was on October 14, 1961 and it took place in a little town called Denton, Texas. Soon after they were married the young newlyweds moved to start their lives together in the San Francisco Bay Area.   They chose this particular spot as their new home for specific reasons.   The man reasons were so   Stan could continue to work on his art and Anne could attend the local college to finish her education.   Their new life...
