There are several management theories will be presented in this article, e.g. Four managerial functions, four levels of managers; company should have competitive advantage and global environment, organization structure (including: Job specialization) and administrative management theory.
Competitive advantages and global environment Operating a company aims to have a competitive advantage, which means the authority of this organization can outperform others by producing desired goods or services more efficiently and effectively than others. Specifically, efficiency is using resources wisely and in a cost efficient manner thus “doing things right and effectiveness means making the right decisions and successfully implementing them thus doing the right things. Both of Apple and Google competitive advantages include their brand name (reputation), customers (internet surfers) and high-quality products (quality).   According to the article, which presents and compares there are two completely different methodologies for making their company decisions in Google and Apple.
Four managerial functions have been applied in both two companies. Comparison of difference for two companies dose not judge which is more proper for firm operating but what advantage make these companies has their own working characteristics.
Obviously, the structures of   planning function are different in two hi-tech firm, in Apple, the Steven P. Jobs, as the chief executive officer have made almost all the final major design choices, which states the CEO of Apple have “the eye” to make a planning for company to promote.   Mr. Gruber stated that “the quality of any collaborative creative endeavor tends to approach the level of tasted of whoever is in charge”, which means, in Mac company, organization’s goals, strategy and plans developing are all according to the customers’ tendency.
