INTRODUCTION:
Nowadays cross-cultural training is not widely inculcated practice and not all MNEs use it for their employees. But importance of it is rapidly rising as long as cultures and their businesses intercept more and more with the globalisation process. Knowledge of differences and similarities among various cultures is the key for expanding the buisness throughout the world and improving the level of their innovativeness.
We are a small, multinational consulting company bringing together consultants and administrative staff from over 10 countries. We work with inernational companies and provide thoughtfull and wise solutions to challenging strategic and operational problems, to both small and big multinationals. Our main areas are marketing and sales, operations, strategies and risks. We sell our counsulting services all over the world and have our representation offices in 5 countries. Our key to success is comparably low price and loyal customers. This background makes us think of the opportunities and challenges that the multiculturalism gives us.
We value national and cultural differences. We believe that in order to maximize added value of cultural diversity we need to create an enabling environment for that. This might involve measures like counseling and training around the issue, various multicultural events, team-building activities, etc.
Moreover, we see that difficulties in communication and team work, finding common language and making use of possible cultural synergies due to cultural differences lead to reduced productivity and waste of valuable time and energy.
To respond to the opportunities given by the multicultural environment, as well as address the inefficiencies created by lack of cultural awareness, we offer regular Cultural Awareness Training to all of our employees, both of local and foreign origin, regardless the position held and tenure in the company.
