Part One- Who am I?
During the infamous scene of Moses and God at the burning bush, moses asked God to reveal his true self. God replied with “I am who I am.” You ask Eminem who is the real slim shady, he will gladly answer “I'm Slim Shady, yes I'm the real Shady, all you other Slim Shadys are just imitating…” But if you asked me “who is my true self”, I would probably give u an odd look, mutter something mean and walk away quickly without looking back. Not only is this question really creepy, it is also a very hard one to answer. Except for God and Eminem, who really knows who they truly are? Some would say, that the morals and values that are instilled in you make up the majority of your being. Because I am a Christian and a child of God, I believe and adapt all ethical values and morals from the Bible. Compassion, forgiveness, faith, confidence, individuality, respect, just to name a few, are all values that I believe are most important. Also I practice morals from the Bible such as, to love God with all that I am, to love my neighbor as myself, to practice abstinence, and tolerance. What disappoints me the most, is to see young girls like me, with so much life planned for them, go and and waste it away by doing drugs, having sex before marriage, arranging abortions, and disrespecting themselves and others. I was taught to cherish life, and to take responsibility for it, because it is an indispensable gift from God. I believe that God created us out of likeness of him, so not only do we disregard ourselves, we disregard God. As stated before, I hold the belief of treating others with with no less than the respect they deserve. Which includes becoming blind to aspects such as race, background, religion, and gender. For I am a woman of many colors, being tolerant of others is an automatic habit. Trait? …..
