Introduction:
Paragraph one
Individual Behaviour means: someone that is diverse from others and the way they act in different situations.
The essay will cover theories linked to the key words and it will then come to a conclusion

Personality means: set of qualities that are different from others.
Personality theorists; Jung and Myers Briggs (1945-1995) looked at type theories, Cattell (1970) looked at trait theories of personality and Types and Traits were linked by Eysenck (1960).
Organisations use these theories because it is faster to recruit. Looking at their personality can mean you can get committed employees that will fit into the organisation.
David W.Arnold and John W. Jones,’ who’s the devils applying now’, (February 2006) stated that Employers do Integrity test/ psychometric assessment which in organisational behaviour 6th edition means “the systematic testing, measurement and assessment of intelligent aptitudes and personality”, which influence individual behaviour.
However looking at stability, people may act differently in an organisation then at home. Some psychologists argue that personality is inherited but others believe it’s shaped by the environment.
The big five theory involves personality traits; openness, conscientious, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism, which all have positive and negative sides to them.
Meyer Friedman (1910-2001) invented the Personality types A & B theory.
People use their personalities to change the organisation, the Cameron & quin model shows this. Locus of control is Rotters (1966) theory of social learning
As most orgnisations have their own cultures and accepted behaviour patterns means some people are likely to fit in more than others. Different roles need different characteristics
