Victor was a scientist who lived happily in his mansion; he lived in solitude, just with his dog “William”. One day, little William got lost in the woods and couldn’t find the way back. The next morning, Victor found him dead at the entrance of his mansion. At this point, victor started to get some crazy ideas of reviving his dog through science, and in the long run he became crazy. The entire town where he lived called him “Victor the Mad Scientist”, this because since his dog’s death, he started collecting dead body parts from the cemetery for his experiments.
He pulls himself together, saying they will continue their fight. This time, Van Helsing provides the needed blood for the transfusion.Lucy writes about her newfound peace with Dr. Van Helsing by her side at night. She does note, though, that she hears a flapping at the window whenever he dozes off.The next piece of writing is an article from the Pall Mall Gazette, in which the interviewer speaks with Thomas Bilder, a zookeeper, about an escaped wolf. The working-class man tells of a gaunt man, with a slightly gray beard and red eyes, who was hanging around the wolf cage earlier. Victor’s curiosity led him to creating the monster. There weren’t many people who accepted the idea of galvanism and things of the like in Frankenstein’s day. “On this occasion a man of great research in natural philosophy was with us, and, excited by this catastrophe, he entered on the explanation of a theory which he had formed on the subject of electricity and galvanism.” (Shelley, page 37). This quote illustrates that Victor is becoming more involved and studying more about creating life. I can’t imagine being seventeen or eighteen and thinking about how to bring something you have created from the dead.
"Gestures are all that I have" he thinks as many things around him start to change against his will and he has no way of stopping them or communicating with anyone else so they can help him. One day, Enzo saw a program on the National Geographic channel that showed that according to the Mongolian legend, after a dog dies, he will be reincarnated in his next life as a human, but only if he is ready. Enzo knows he is ready. Denny Swift, his owner, is a race car driver. Denny adopted Enzo when he was a month old, from a terrible farm, "saving" him from the horrible farm keeper.
As his term was ending at Ingolstadt, Victor wanted to practice his philosophy of recreating human life. Through his research and concepts, Victor created a plan to reconstruct the human body and bring it to life using chemistry and electricity. He visited graveyards for human body parts for his monster (Shelley, page 56). While Victor worked day and night to re-create human life, he kept this secret from his family and friends. Once the monster was created, Victor was unsure what to do with it and panicked.
In the book “Frankenstein” By Mary Shelley and the movie “Frankenstein” made in the 1940’s, have some similarities and also some differences. In the book “Frankenstein” Victor’s brother dies and Justine is accused of his murder. In the movie the creature kills a young man and leaves runs out and his fiancé also dies running to ask for help leaving the creature to blame for. Also the book explains the way the creature feels about life, sitting by the fire in his hut, the monster tells Victor of the confusion that he experienced upon being created. He also describes his flight from Victor's apartment into the wilderness and him adapting to the world through his discovery of the sensations of light, dark, hunger, thirst, and cold.
After a lot of the monkeys in this room die very quickly the manager named Bill Volt calls Dan Dalgard a consultant doctor that would help examine the monkeys. They then call the Army when the situation gets worse. The army calls in Nancy and Jerry Jaxx and the use them alone with Gene Johnson a civilian who has studied the Marburg and Ebola virus, Frederick A. Murphy a virologist who was one of the co-founders of the Ebola virus and the first to photograph it. After Nancy collects some of the dead monkeys for testing they’re sent to the lab so they can find out what kind of Ebola or Marburg it is. They are shocked when it turns out to be most closely related to Ebola Zaire which is bad news because they are 15 miles from Washington D.C. After many more monkeys die and the virus seems to be traveling through the air Dan Dalgard hands over the entire facility to the Army.
When Buck arrives in Canada and his body must adapt to the tough toil of the reins; and Buck will need more food than the other dogs. He must steal food from his masters in order to adapt to the hostile North.“When he saw Pike, one of the new dogs, a clever malingerer and thief, slyly steal a slice of bacon when Perrault's back was turned, he duplicated the performance the following day, getting away with the whole chunk.” (Pg. 24) Being a city dog it was hard to adapt to this new life. Buck had to do it, there was no choice. Now, he must fight to stay alive; even if that means taking out the alpha dog.
