2. Recruitment Process

Establishment of new job of a position should be meeting the operational needs of the corporation. The need for establishing a position in Saudi Airline will happen by to way, first by the operational requirements or as a result of organizational studies which conducted my Human Resource Planning.

In Saudi Airlines, there are different divisions; each one has the responsibility for their employees. The recruitment process starts from inside the departments. When there is a vacancy position that needs to fill in, the manager of the department goes through three steps. First, select what kind of job and position that it needs, then select the essential duties of this job and its responsibility, and finally do measurement which needed to perform the job, such as skills, education (Figure 1).

By doing these steps the manager announces to human resource department to start their procedures to fill in this position. Human resource department starts to do an internal announcement inside the organization that if there is one who can fill in this position. This announcement takes one month, if there isn’t employee who can’t fill in this place then the external announcement starts through the internet and newspaper. After receiving the applicants form, the company gives all applicants an English exam which is one the main requirement in Saudi’s employees. After that, they take a computer exam (depend on the job require). At last is doing an interview. For each step the number of applicants reducing and to select the best applicant becomes easier. If the applicant passed these exams, they must process the required health standard of Saudi company by Saudi Medical service. Finally they do a final interview to select the proper one for this position.
