Macbeth The Killer Essay

Have you ever watched a horror movie? In most horror movies like 'Friday the 13th' , killing is the primary action happening. In William Shakespeare's play, The Tragedy of Macbeth, the title hero, Macbeth kills plenty of innocent people for power. In the beginning of the play, Macbeth was very human. However, a dynamic change occurs after he meets these three wicked witches as they foreshadow him   becoming king. This waters Macbeth's seed of ambition, and it leads to his demise. Once he kills Duncan, his change accelerates. By the end of the play, and Macbeth's killing spree, his transformation is complete and all of his human thoughts and feelings are gone. Macbeth changes from being a great individual to the focus of everyone's fear and anger, because he loses his human characteristics of conscience and remorse. Shakespeare's play is a horror show of blood and gore as the humane Macbeth transitions to a monstrous killer.
At the beginning of the Tragedy of Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, the main character Macbeth is viewed as an ordinary and local thane. After he slays the Thane of Cawdor, King Duncan and other thanes are praising his hard work. King Duncan says "More is thy due than more than all can pay." (Shakespeare 1.4.22)   In other words, Duncan is saying to the hero, Macbeth that he owes Macbeth more than he can ever pay. The nonchalant   Macbeth then replies with, "The service and the loyalty I owe/in doing it pays itself" (Shakespeare 1.4. 23-24) meaning that the opportunity to serve King Duncan is its own reward. King Duncan then tells Macbeth how Malcolm, his eldest son would heir his throne if he were to die and wants Macbeth to witness the event. Then they discuss about going back to Macbeth's place to feast and in return the very humane Macbeth says "The rest is labor which is not used for you." (Shakespeare 1.4.45) which means Macbeth wouldn't be happy unless he was working for Duncan. After the conversation during his aside with the witches...
