Assignment 1: Application of the Normative Ethical Theories For this assignment, I have chosen Case 1.2. This case deals with a psychiatrist, Dr. Smith, in private practise who works with child abusers. He feels client confidentiality is paramount in being able to treat these people effectively and as a result does not report the abuse to the authorities, nor does he mention anything about child abuse in the client’s records. The question the study guide asks us to consider is “Is Dr. Smith’s confidentiality policy morally justifiable.” This takes a look at his overall actions. Simpler questions would be “Is Dr. Smith’s intentional practise of omitting important information relevant to his client’s treatment ethical?” or “Is Dr. Smith’s failure to report his client’s actions to the authorities morally justifiable?” Both would be good questions, but I believe the question the study guide asks us to consider embrace both of these questions.

After every song ended, the host would just say if anyone wanted to give a shout out, to call there number. So not really any acknowledgement of the artist. They only announced certain songs and not all. There was no discussion of music or artist just events pertaining to music. They seem to have no knowledge besides trying to get ratings for there show.
Instead of curing all of the participants, they continued to recruit people and continue to not inform them about the risks that they would be experiencing. The researchers did not pay any regards to the ethical rules that come along with such an experiment. They not only disregarded what the rights of the medical research, but they also disregarded the human rights of all of the people involved (Poythress, Epstein, & Stiles, 2011). Due to the fact that they were not giving the proper treatment to the participants, there were several deaths, as well as non-participants who became infected because they were in contact with a participant from the research. There were also individuals that had lost their lives from similar
‘Because we walked past them to the computer at the far-right end of the room and i thought it's unfair.' So, the manager acknowledged her mistake, apologized and asked my client politely but he said, ‘his fine that he'll work on the system.’ The limitation i faced by conflict of interest was centered on the organization’s job policy as i would have liked to persuade him to join them as a platform for him to interact with others. I had to seek for help from my Peer involvement Coordinator on the pros and cons of supporting service users and he said, I am not allowed to persuade or influence their decision on a particular course of action, among others. The two examples would have my client benefited from an Independent Advocate but the second example is more likely as an independent advocate is concerned with working from a person centered perspective. The reason being that, it enhance a better support , to focus on an acceptable outcome, to give information to enable him to make an informed decision, to see him as having the most specialized knowledge of his life, wishes and feelings,
Ricky Guimaraes Mrs.Mummert Language arts 27/February 2014 James Alan Hetfield When it comes to defining Metallica, most people use James Hetfield as their guide. There's never any drama with James and there's never any shirking of duties. Example? When he threw his back out on the Summer Sanitarium 2000 tour, James ploughed his way through three weeks of intense physical therapy in four days, according to his physical therapist. And when the going got really tough, and James needed help in 2001, he sought it out, took it on and came back stronger than ever.
Does race effect ‘Good Samaritanism’? Abstract This experiment looks to investigate whether race has an effect on good samaritanism and in order for this to be tested a field experiment was conducted. There were three conditions one with a black confederate, the other with a white confederate and the last with an Asian confederate. In each condition the confederate would drop their wallet in order to see whether they would be given it back. It was found that the race of the confederate had no effect on how many times they were helped.
John Cage, however, thought otherwise. He believed that everything and anything we hear can be music and harmonious. It took me and some other clueless audience four minutes and thirty-three seconds to realize and agree to that. As a musician of multiple instruments, I have always strived for making sounds that are more pleasing to the ears of my audience. I never even had the thought of listening to the lawn mower outside, cars passing by or dogs barking at me as “music.” Not saying that I now enjoy listening to random rambunctious noise outside.
