This paper will cover my thoughts on how taking the Quantitative Reasoning for Business course (QRB) class will prepare me for future courses. This paper will cover how the QRB course will help me with a better understanding of the business world. I will also discuss how the QRB course will help me with economics, finance, accounting, operations and research.
After reviewing the Quantitative Reasoning for Business Overview document I believe this course offers a variety of aspects as it relates to the business world. The QRB course will help me understand the revenue and profits of the business world along with how to increase sales by offering products in different ways. The QRB course will also assist me in problem solving and how the outcome of one decision will affect everyone, no matter what level of position they hold within the company. The QRB course will help me understand in greater detail formulas and variables companies use to measure success.
Furthermore, by taking the QRB course I will gain the knowledge and understanding for future courses in economics, finance, accounting, operations and research. In order to be successful at any of these five courses mentioned above I must first have knowledge of what they involve. It appears that the QRB course does just that. I believe that by taking the QRB course first it will allow me to begin thinking in a more business like manner. It will help my mind to absorb all the entry level knowledge needed to begin economics, finance, accounting, operations and research. I currently have a high level of knowledge in finance, accounting and research but I need all the information I can gain on economics, finance and operations.
More so, I am looking forward the taking the QRB course and learning all it has to offer in order help me succeed with the completion of my MBA degree, advancing in my career and affects this will have in my personal life.
