We may find a substantial change if we compare today’s world with the past. The current warming of the climate is evident from the day to day observations. Increases in global average air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of snow and ice, and rising global average sea level, are vivid signs that paint a grim picture of the future. Unfortunately, unless something is done, the world & humanity are on a path to disaster. In an article on environment titled “Windows on the Future” by Gilberto Gallopin, three scenarios with two variants each, are speculated as possible end results. One of these scenarios is “Policy Reforms,” which highlights the positive trend towards achieving a stable environment and focuses targeted at achieving environmental remedies. This is the best and most practical solution for humanity as it provides major policy reforms on mitigating global warming, environmental protection, and controlling population growth based on the enforcement. Utilization and evaluation of these policies will result in preservation of natural resources and environmental protection (Gallopin 26).  
After conducting various surveys and analyzing their results, it is clear that people have come to the consensus that global warming is caused by human beings and is not merely a natural cycle. It should be mentioned that human beings are the first group who will suffer of such changes. As Bill McKibben in his article argues that global climate change can be more important than lower productivity. Based on a research conducted by Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), shows that more than 90% confident that climate change is caused by human activity. This is primarily achieved by the burning of fossil fuels, which release carbon dioxide, the primary gas in the “greenhouse gas” that is responsible for Global Warming (www.ipcc.ch)
