(Tale of the Sperm and the Egg)

Introduction:
The sperm and the egg are two variables that are necessary for life to begin. We all are familiar with how the sperm must connect with the egg in order for reproduction to occur. In this essay I will explain the role of the sperm and the egg in detail. Today we will be exploring the adventures of Chris (the sperm) and Christina (the egg).

Today in Chris and Corey’s life they will be experiencing fertilization, something they have been waiting for their whole entire life. Chris was produced in the male sex glands with twenty three chromosomes. The twenty three chromosomes will determine the sex of the child once Chris unties with Christina the Egg. The Sperm and the prostate secretion are discharged with immense force by the way of contractions of the pelvic muscles, and then they are followed by a sugar-containing fluid from the seminal vesicles (glands emptying into the vas deferens), (Zak, 2008). Once this occurs, Chris will begin his journey into the vagina to meet Christina.
Christina’s life began when she was in the fetus of a human being. Female babies are already born with all of the eggs they will need to reproduce. Christina has a slim chance of becoming fertilized. The portion of the follicle facing the abdominal cavity ruptures fairly rapidly and the fluid filling the follicle and containing millions of cells runs out (Zak, 2008). Here amidst all of this activity, lays Christina, awaiting her chance at forming new life. Once Christina enters the fallopian tubes, she will then lie in wait to meet Chris. The fallopian tube is where the magic happens.
Christina has now reached maturity while being in the upper third of the fallopian tube. Christina and Chris now have less than 24 hours to...
