Knowing about ecology would give knowledge about the way the world works and provide evidence on the interdependence between the world and people. Moreover, a better understanding of ecological systems will allow the society to predict the consequences of human activity on the environment.
Ecology is one of several environmental moral issues that is relevant to business. Conventionally, businesses have shown outrageous unconcern towards the environment. Environmental protection was rarely seen as an issue. A company would harm the environment to whatever extent was profitable, and they often harmed the environment despite the fact that it was unnecessary to do so. In some cases, the attitudes of businesses would lead to unwarranted environmental damage. Some people would think that the world is free and resources could be taken without end. They would also think that pollution could damage the environment, but the damage done was considered to be insignificant because the world was seen as such a large place. However, resources aren’t unlimited and many people and animals are harmed from environmental damage.
Undeniably, our environment forms an essential part of our life and a clean and healthy environment is necessary for a healthy living. It is people who should take efforts to deal with environmental issues and take all measures to avoid the pollution or destruction of our environment. Therefore, ecological issue are becoming increasingly important to all businesses as the scope of ecological legislation increases.
