My Time Management Ordeal
Am I the only individual in the world with parents that constantly say, These are the best days of your life? Everyone is familiar with having a lack of time or an impending due date and deadline to meet. Students are often faced with this dilemma on a daily basis struggling to keep up, and striving to succeed in the conflicts of life. Like grains of sand are constantly battling to stay in one spot and not be blown around or washed away during the bad weather. Balancing my hectic schedule can be stressful at times, between maintaining academic expectations, my social obligations, while working part time, and playing sports. I also get the weathering; an erosion of life just like grains of sand. When you have a very intense and demanding schedule, some parts begin to give away thats why it is important to have effective time management skills. I had a research paper due on Glaucoma in the 8th grade. My family had also bought tickets to the New York Yankee baseball game vs. the Tampa Bay Devil Rays for that Monday. We had a four day week end that week and did not return till Tuesday when the research paper was due. This was a dilemma only having the articles and sources along with a portion of the body and the thesis statement completed. Not knowing that this experience would redirect me for many years.
Since the 4th grade I have had a problem balancing academic and social obligatory duties due to ineffective time management. When I came home every day after school I would have to go to football practice and after practice I would be too tired o get anything done. Most of the time I would get up at 5 oclock in the morning and try to do my homework, but most of the time I did not end up completing all of it. This went on all through elementary school.
