A young girl patiently awaits the arrival of the bare coast that had been sitting all winter long. Unwinding and relaxing is her favorite part about this place. It is always astonishing and beautiful. The olfaction of the water and sand gets blown and dispersed through the breeze. The wondrous zephyr, created by the ocean currents, winnows into faces and hair. Standing before the sand, she stops and listens to the crashing of the waves and the seagulls calling. She steps off the boardwalk and in the fiery sand that at first chars her bare, warm feet.
Having gotten comfortable with the sands temperature, she sits down on her blue beach towel and stares off into the blue. She perceives the light colored sailboats disappear into the distance. She watches the surfers grab their vibrant boards and paddle off for the horizon. She observes kids getting wiped-out by the potent waves after riding their boogie boards. As she looks around on the beach she looks at the magnificent sand castles made by children. Their castles are decorated with shells, sticks, and little flags they brought with them. She chuckles at the little kids filling their moats with water about ten times before they realize the sand soaks all the salt water up, leaving them with just wet sand around the castle. A few ladies lie on their stomach, while trying to get a darker complexion. She glances at the left side of the sky and sees enormous gray clouds making their way toward the beach. So the girl rushes to pack up all of her things and get to her beach house quickly. Luckily for her it’s only a few mere steps away.
She gets to the house, the door still opened with a creek like it always had, the furniture was all in place, and of course the superior view of the beach was still there. The color of the house was absolutely soothing. She listened to the tinkle of the waterfall coming down the wall and into a little pond with stepping stones to get across. Just across those stepping...
