“Live today, like your dying tomorrow” is a quote I base my life around. Day to day I try to live my life to the fullest and be as optimistic as possible. As a student at Houston Community College, I am constantly pushing myself through my weaknesses, like being narrow minded, procrastinating and becoming stressed very easily, while also trying to enhance my strengths, like being outgoing, smart, and the ability to work hard to get what I need and want to accomplish in life. I’ve learned by working at both I can reach my goal to one day be a successful dentist. Although I work hard to accomplish and get the things I want in life, I wouldn’t be anywhere without the support and guidance from my role model, my mother. Her amazing charisma, and always putting others before herself, helps me strive to become a better person everyday.
In an effort to be all that I can be, my strengths help me to excel in life but my weaknesses sometimes can hold me back. My hard headed point of view tends to lead me in the wrong direction at times and procrastinating my way through assignments and life in general, always seems to be a daily struggle for me. Although being hard headed has its advantages, when you are actually correct about the matter, it also keeps me narrow minded about different points of view, and holds me back from seeing the big picture. With my many flaws and weaknesses affecting me daily, it normally leads me to stressing over the smallest details. Although keeping in mind my flaws, I also have a lot of great aspects about myself. My personality is very outgoing, so it helps me meet and interact with many different people. Not only do I use that to my advantage, but I also am a smart and witty person that is always driven towards something. I am constantly working hard at something new so that it will help me get what I need and want in life.
