Team Communication
Open and efficient communication is essential for team success; both large and small companies know that the success of small working groups depend on strong communication skills. Most companies encourage small working groups to work on projects, knowing teams will be more creative. But small teams depend on strong communication skills to express their thoughts, ideas, and enhance creativity. Teams also need to know the different types of communication skills and how to develop these skills to use in finding solutions to projects quickly and efficiently.
What Is Communication?
Communication is about expression and to convey one’s views, manner, beliefs, and plan to other people (Panse, 2008). Excellent communication abilities can help him or her maintain a cool level of confidence and take control of certain circumstances. People are more likely to listen to whatever is said if they are able to express themselves correctly, and this is mainly important to influence plus negotiate individual, group, or company matters. Communication is required to solve conflict and dealing with difficult people. Let us speak of communication in the place of work. According to (Panse, 2008) most companies and organizations have people who work in small teams. This is more efficient and beneficial than one person working alone on projects. When groups of people work on projects, they have the benefit to more proposals and answers for the task and have more safeguards against shortcomings in the plan and establish more network connections. Groups are more likely to take on and complete large-scale, complex projects. Efficient and open communication is a must for teams to operate smoothly.
