So your parents always told you that you have to do chores, “Can you wash the dishes, Can you take out the trash”, the list goes on and on. The one thing that you’re always asked is “can you do the laundry?” Well the days where you were asked to do chores is over, now you have to actually do your chores…by yourself. As a college student we all have to do our own laundry. When you do your laundry you want them to look the same color as they went in. Every time we wash a white shirt we do not want them to be blue, or green or pink. This is the guide to getting a load of laundry done the right way while you’re at college.
There are quite a few things that you will need to bring with you as you venture down to the laundry room. What would washing clothes be like if you didn’t have any dirty clothes? You have to round up all of the dirty clothes that you are ready to get all fresh and clean. Then you will need to assemble the necessary goods that it takes to get the maximum wash. Now this can all vary with your personal taste in doing laundry. You’ll have all of these things that will be screaming at you to get them to be involved with your wash. All you really need to actually do your laundry is 1) laundry detergent such as Tide, Cheer, All, and Wisk, 2) Fabric softener, which could come in liquid or sheet form (Liquid is used during wash process, sheet is used during drying process) such as Downy, Snuggle, or Suavitel, and 3) the optional bleach for washing your whites such as All, and Clorox. Once you have these products assembled and ready for use you will need to pack your pockets full with at least three bucks worth of quarters, pack the dirty clothes into a laundry basket of some sort, and head on down to do your laundry. As you show up to the battle grounds known to all as the Laundry Room, you will need to pick an open washer for which you will be doing your wash.
