The Customer WAS Always Right…

This piece is really true. The service department of most major company’s has gotten horrible. I can relate to the stories guest Mitchell Hartman was speaking about. It seems that almost every time you need customer service you’re never going to get what you need, they will usually pass you around like you’re a hot potato. However, I say almost because recently my Dell computer crashed and within two minutes, I was talking to a person from a foreign country that spoke very good English and helped me fix my computer in a very reasonable amount of time. I was very pleased, so pleased that when I spoke to the manager I complemented on the service.
Host Cheryl Glasier, brought up a good point when she said that as the economy has expanded, customer service has not. I believe that you verbal connection with you customers is what will keep them coming back, unless of course you have one of those products that sell itself and you simply can’t live without it. UPS is a prime example of a great customer service. They give you the option of ordering and forgetting about it until it gets to your door or they give you the what I call the hold your had option of tracking you package all the way to your door. You can even have a message sent to your mobile device to let you know where your package is and when it has arrived at your house. Whenever you call them with a question, they are always happy to answer any questions and assist you in any way they can, that is what I think of when I think customer service.
As far as making a complaint, I personally have a hard time doing so because I don’t want to be the reason of someone losing their job, but with that said, I will be one of the first to complement someone. I have worked long enough trying to please the customer, and I know I appreciate a good pat on the back every once in a while. As far as writing a letter, I think that if you were going to...
