The Gift Of Gab.

My outgoing personality is a very important aspect of my identity. Sometimes meeting new people can be a difficult and uncomfortable experience. From the first second you meet me you can gather that I am in no way to be considered shy. The first day of this class I rushed the podium and began to speak as loud and commanding as a filibustering politician. Public speaking is a skill that comes naturally to me and I rarely am intimidated by larger groups of people.

As a young child my family moved from long beach to Ronkonkama, New York, a town on long island. This was difficult for me, in that i was in a new place that was unfamiliar to me, with an accent that made me stand out like a sore thumb. The cards were definitely stacked against me, but i wouldn't let this situation win over me. I was introduced to the class and my 6 year old mind was racing like a formula-1 engine. I addressed the teacher as "teach". Now let me tell you, that might not seem like the funniest comment in the world, but for a six year old that is as racy as a Lenny Bruce routine. After delivering the zinger, the children came to realize that although my accent was different, I was still a kid just like them. This in turn caused my stay in New York to be a very pleasing change for my childhood. It was in my childhood that I was introduced to my passion, Music.

Since I can remember I have always loved music. When I was offered the job to be a merchandiser for my friends band when i was 18, I was quick to take this position. The fifteen weeks of constant travel would prove to be one of the highlights of my life so far. I got to travel across the country and got paid to hang out with my friends. If there could ever be a more cool occupation, I haven't heard of it yet. Aside from traversing the country and selling merchandise, I was using my outgoing personality to my advantage.
