Le Grand Chef
Directed by Jeon Yoon Soo, a competitive battle to prove who is the better chef is about to begin. In order to prove who is Korea’s best chef, a cooking contest is held. Many chefs can enter but only one chef will win and will be handed down the legendary knife that the ancestors used. Two chefs, Sung Chan (Played by Kim Kang Woo) and Bong Joo (Lim Won Hee) who were culinary school colleagues compete against each other. In the past, the two chefs prepared a dish for the judges to acknowledge their achievements. Sung Chan, the better chef, had a top dish, but there was poison in Sung Chan’s dish, so he had to leave the school. Ever since that incident he stopped cooking, but in order to win Bong Joo, he enters.
The film had many flashbacks. When the film starts, it starts off with what happened five years ago. As the flashback explains the reason Sung Chan stops cooking, it returns to the present life. However because of his mistake he thinks deeply and finally agrees to enter the contest because he doesn’t want to lose to Bong Joo. When the flashbacks occur, they are shown exactly at the time the audience would expect one.

He was played very aggressively which made it amusing and serious throughout the film. Sung Chan was the calm, honest one so he was played calmly and nicely. Bong Joo’s Character and Sung Chan’s character are totally opposite form each other so it brings the film to life and it also makes the audience anxious to see who will win in the end.
Out of all the films I have seen, I would rate this film a five-star film. The film is very much unified. Not only is it organized but the entire competition leads to just one...
