As a manager, I can see myself inspiring my subordinates to think, grow and take responsibility for them. I do this by demonstrating belief in what my staff members can accomplish. I believe that I can help people to improve, and I enjoy managing and supporting their efforts. Moreover, observing the best in people is important to me. In fact, my ability to combine an acceptance of others as they are with the inspiration and encouragement they need to become even better is what makes me a valuable mentor, manager, co-worker, and friend.
This has allowed me to share my training needs and my current skills, abilities and experiences. We also discussed accredited schemes which will help me provide the young people with accredited outcomes to their informal learning and be more inclusive with the work, consequently inspiring the young people to develop more. This supervision has been more of the ‘learning culture’ (Peter Hawkins and Robin Shohet 2007) than previous experiences in the Youth Service, similar to my full time employment which suits me, inspiring me to develop more. We meet at regular intervals yet I have his mobile number to discuss issues anytime. This made me feel valued and more of a member of the team, as I now receive regular updates about team meetings and planning.
Team B: Mellissa Smith 1. What went well in the project? What could have gone better? I thought the project work itself was fun, creating the reports and memos and other communication were great practice for the real world. I really enjoyed getting to know 2 of my team members whom I worked very closely with on this project and will keep in touch with after this class is long over.
Keeping each week’s tasks and goals in mind probably improves my chances in being successful in life. Self-Assurance I rely on my drives to decide how to react appropriately to a situation, or an individual, or a crowd. Driven by my talents, I personally feel content too steady improvements I make as an individual throughout life. I have confidence in my talents and knowledge. Infrequently I trust myself enough to test my own endurance and swiftness.
Doing this project as a group made our work exciting; we got new ideas from each other that were worthwhile and built a team relationship. There were many different kinds of behaviors that occurred through this group project. However our goal was to find the common ground, then once we found it we could enjoy working together. We took this project as personal mission not as a group project. My self-interest for this project is to just go out help people and put smile on people face.
A bunch of performers gathered together to just do what they enjoy and raise money for a cause that is very important. This shows the fact that they are very good hearted in nature and wish to do for others. While they may enjoy doing it, that doesn’t take away from the fact that it is a very important cause, and they very much helped contribute to it. According to Healthy Personality, humans naturally want to improve their surroundings and help the world, and I feel that’s exactly what the individuals did at this program. In the video, Ms. Winfrey discussed the ideas of not only acting like a nice person, but actually being nice to others. She also talked about hard work and as well as believing in yourself. She said that actually being a nice person to people that you are around allows you to easily work with others around you in order to obtain the things you need and to create a good perception of yourself. It’s important for others to know of your nice spirit because it reflects well upon you and makes it easier for you to get things done. Hard work goes along with dedication and sticking to your plan in order for you to eventually achieve success.

Having great mental health means much to me especially as a young adult. What is mental health? The World Health organization defines mental health as "a state of well –being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community" (Organization). Having good mental health helps me to enjoy my life and also engage in everyday activities whether at home, school, even out with my friends. Having good mental health helps you stay focused and achieve in everyday life.
Byrne and Clore (1970) proposed the reward/need satisfaction model. According to this model, we form relationships with people simply because we find them rewarding, It is suggested that we are rewarded in two ways: operant conditioning (through direct reinforcement) and classical conditioning (through association). Argyle (1992) suggests individuals who are rewarding are liked the most. An example of positive reinforcement may be through non-verbal signals such as smiling; this is a sign of liking. We may also be negatively reinforced by an individual helping us in our ‘time of need’.
